The Donald Trump Show

Does anybody else hope Donald Trump will just go away? The more he talks the more I can't stand him. Even Bill Cosby is annoyed. And that's quite a feat.

I found myself seething as I was watching this video:

Do people really buy into this shit? Even Karl Rove and Glenn Beck don't like this guy. Trump thinks this is a pissing contest and I can't see how we can have any kind of international relationships in good faith with his overall attitude. Trump says people criticize him for attention, but is there anything he does without the hope of attention?

But if that wasn't enough, Trump goes on to try and say Obama got into college basically because of affirmative action. This video highlights how racist what he's saying is:

I don't care if he's doing well in the polls. Trump is a joke and Stewart says it best:

I can't wait for this train wreck to be over. Seriously Trump, you're ruining one of my hobbies.

  1. Part of me finds some entertainment value in the absurdity of the Trump train wreck as it continues to roll on. But the other 99.9% of me realizes that every second of mainstream media coverage spent on this billionaire blowhard is absolutely toxic to our political discourse.

I could spend half a day detailing the contempt I have for Trump, but that would truly be a waste of time. He's a joke, and should treated as such.

On another note, it's great to see Jon Stewart back with the droopy dog Joe Lieberman impression. Unlike Donald Trump, that's a joke that never gets old.

  2. Donald Trump is absurd and painful to listen to. I don't understand why anyone in the media even gives him the time of day.

  3. I guess graduating Magna Cum Laude really demonstrates how unqualified Obama was ? Oh, and being president of the Harvard Law Review was affirmative action too.

Trump is using a very old, tried and true method of stirring discontent among the electorate, that of hatred and division, with touches of xenophobia thrown in for good measure.
He just may be the Demacrats secret weapon ;-)

  4. There was a lot of talk yesterday on Facebook because of the birth certificate being released. One friend of mine posted a picture of it and wrote, "No Donald Trump and all of the others can move on to more important issues!" I got into somewhat of an argument with another friend of hers who was going on and on about, "Why didn't he just produce his birth certificate to begin with? I could pull mine out of a file right now if someone wanted to see it!" I kept saying, "But he produced it back in 2008!" She kept saying things like, "People need to seek the truth and they need to know. I've taken the time to educate myself and research this president and I smell a rat!"

This is probably the biggest issue I take with people who are against Obama. I feel there are a lot of reasons to be unhappy with the things he's done in office so far, but his birth certificate isn't one of them. As soon as anyone brings that up in a discussion, I automatically dismiss them. I feel that it's completely ignorant and grasping at straws.

On an unrelated note, that lady is one of those people who excessively uses commas consecutively like,,,,,then types some words,,,,,and more words. My final comment on that post was, "And again, he produced it back in 2008. What year was he elected? A series of periods is an ellipsis. A series of commas is just annoying." I just cannot stand when people do this! How did that even become a trend? It's almost as bad as people using hash tags on Facebook! (It's the little things that annoy me. I need to work on that.)

  5. I really should proof read. Sorry for the errors.

  6. I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated with this crap!

Mac: Apparently Trump is too lazy to google what "Magna Cum Laude" means. It tells us his grades right in the title.

April: Oh god I hate people on facebook like that. And I agree with you that there are TONS of valid reasons to criticize Obama from both sides. This is not one of them.

  7. What really bugs me about the birther crap, aside from the racism and conspiracy theory mindset, is that people seemed happy to just completely ignore the fact that he already produced his birth certificate years ago! The short form is the standard form in Hawaii. It's what you get when you ask for a copy of your birth certificate. He wasn't holding anything out on us. I mean, duh! But will any of these people pay attention to the fact that he had to make a *special request as president* in order to even get the long form? Probably not. They'll probably go "why didn't he produce it sooner?" And then I'll want to scream.

  8. I am so over Donald Trump. He's so ridiculous. It absolutely infuriates me that people just keep shuffling their feet and finding something else to make him ineligible to be president of the United States.

What's on your mind?
