That was so sad and what's even more sad is that so many of the people who are dealing with those feelings have to deal with the same attitudes from their friends and families. I could not even begin to fathom not wanting to be a part of my child's life based on something like this. I am glad that he's not allowing his parents to bully him out of making the changes necessary to be happy.
This is so sad. I must say that he handled himself very well. The things they said to him must have hurt deeply...it hurt me just watching it. But he continued to say that he'll be here when they want to be in his life. He didn't yell, curse or break down. He's being the bigger person.
I agree with all of you. It was really sad to watch, but I understand why he posted it. I couldn't imagine doing this to Holden. Ever.
