I'm a little late to the game, but I want to say kudos to Iceland for defining marriage as a union between two consenting adults regardless of sex. And a big congratulations to Icelandic Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir who has just married her long-term partner. According an article on msnbc, Sigurdardottir is now the "world's first national leader with a same-sex spouse."
Iceland is now the ninth country where same-sex couples can marry nationwide. Slowly, ever so slowly things appear to be changing.
Man I love good news.
