Pride 2010

*Double posted*

I finally made it to the pride parade yesterday. Every year I plan on going downtown to see the parade, but my innate laziness stops me from waking up at the required time. This year I was determined, and took hundreds of pictures to prove it.

I took so many pictures it was hard narrowing it down, but here are some of my favs:

  1. It looks to have been a splendid parade. Seeing the *Equal Sign* reminds me of my favorite, okay, one of my favorite moments from the Democratic Presidential Primaries. It was when Dennis Kucinich spoke of having on his desk an *Equal Sign* inside a heart. He tugged at my heart strings with that statement but I also know he had about as much a chance of becoming president as Ru Paul.

  2. Great pics! Looks like a fun event. I really ought to attend one in San Francisco one of these days.

  3. Dion: I never heard anything about Kucinich, but that's awesome. Even Obama isn't for marriage equality (which pisses me off to no end).

Meg: You totally should! I bet it'd be amazing. I've wanted to go to San Francisco forever.

  4. I see the Atheists were there too.

Funny how they are more inclusive than the "peace love and understanding" christians...

  6. It is! (Actually I am wearing it over a dress lol.) Good eye and thanks. :)

There were actually a few Christian groups there, but no Mormons. At least not as a group in the parade. Not too suprising unfortunately.
