7-Year-Old Painting Prodigy

Does this seem a little ridiculous to anyone else?

Maybe I'm a cynical old fart, but I have a hard time getting excited into the who "child prodigy" hype people seem to love.

  1. Me too--I get more excited by the everyday talents of the very normal kids I teach. And more than raw talent, I get excited by IMAGINATION. Because that, believe me, is in short supply.

  2. I agree. It's amazing how Holden will say he's painting all these different things when really it's just a bunch of scribbles.

  4. There's a documentary about that phenomenon called "My Kid Painted That" or something along those lines. It's basically about child artistic prodigies and the parents behind said prodigies.

  5. I think I might have seen it or something like it. It was about a four year old girl and how people claim her parents help her or some shit.
