How Obama Got Elected

I was watching Keith Olbermann last night and there was finally something to report that made my blood move. (Listen Obama, I like you but can you get some blow jobs or shoot someone in the face? I really need some new material for this blog. Thanks.)

Ahh…Mrs. Sarah Palin is back again.

In an interview with John Ziegler for his upcoming documentary ”Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected," " Sarah Palin answered questions about her portrayal in the media and how she felt attacked compared to the other candidates.

This clip is about ten minutes long, but I promise it won’t disappoint:

Obviously, some of the things she says are completely out of touch with reality.

Her comment about accepting anonymous bloggers as hard news sources really bothers me. Not only is it completely false, but isn’t that exactly what she and McCain did when they let the rumors of Obama being a terrorist circulate?

Then she claims that the media respected Obama’s family and not hers. Ok, maybe there is a level of truth in that comment, but it doesn’t have anything to do with Obama. What is there to attack about his family? He’s in a happy marriage with his best friend and his children are still young. A lot of politician’s spouses are just baggage, but Michelle is an asset.

If Palin’s family was treated unfair it was because she gave us so much ammunition. What politician with a pregnant unmarried teenager and kids galore with bat crazy names wouldn’t be made fun of? If Obama’s daughter was a pregnant teenager it would have been political suicide for him.

Palin also forgets that one of the conservative’s biggest platforms is family values. You can’t have it both ways.

And what is up with her “upper echelon of power brokering” of the media comment? The reason you had to go back Sarah was because if you didn’t, it would be seen as proof that you weren’t up to the interview and therefore probably not up to being vice president. I also don’t get how she can comment on the interview while claiming to have never watched it. Must be those anonymous bloggers again.

I also noticed that every time a politician says something completely idiotic or offensive, they blame it on a lame attempt at humor. Really? That’s the best you could come up with? Here’s a tip to all you politicians, you are not funny. Leave the jokes to the professionals.

Out of everything, the statement that bothers me the most is when she claims she would have had a “prettier profile” if she had run on the democratic ticket.

What? Are you effing joking?

There is no way in hell she would have ever made the ticket and democrats would not have accepted her. Not even Obama could keep that ship afloat. If Palin did come out looking better, it would be because Obama had a superb campaign. There weren’t any “leaks” about his staff having problems with Biden’s staff or about him trying to use his power as a senator to try and get people fired. He also thought it necessary to select someone he believed could run the country if necessary. That puts you out of the running right there Sarah. Sorry.

So maybe politicians should stop blaming the “elite” media every time they lose a race. I know it’s hard to believe for the die hard Palin fans, but we won fair and square.

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t want someone “folksy” in the white house. I wanted someone intelligent and eloquent who didn’t say things like, “that’s a darn good question” with a wink. To blame this on the media is offensive to all the voters who put Obama in the white house.

And to blame it on sex-ism or class-ism when Obama had to battle the biggest “ism” of them all, is just pathetic.

Maybe you shouldn’t have tried so hard to show people you’re part of “small town America,” friends with Joe the plumber, and different from that "elitist" Obama if you think class might be an issue.

Did anyone else notice she didn’t actually answer the question about doing "this" again? Frightening.

Oh and on John Ziegler website he claims that, “when she looked at the back cover of my first film and saw the photo of one of the film’s targets, Keith Olbermann, she literally let out a shriek and, pointing to his photogragh, declared, “THAT guy is EVIL!””

Then we better track down that pastor of hers.

(I also found an interesting article about the distorted poll John Ziegler used for his movie here. I think it’s sad that he is trying to take away from Obama’s success. I’m sure I’ll talk about this more later on, but this post is gotten long enough.)

And on a side note, my monster turns three today. Happy Birthday Holden!

  1. Doesn't she have a state to run? And a newborn son and grandson to dote on? Anyway, this is just typical Republican sour grapes. If they lose, it must be due to that awful elitist liberal media. How dare they paint them as the mean-eyed, incompetent hypocrites they actually are!

Great post, btw, but it is terrifying to contemplate that she's most certainly eyeing a run in 2012. She just won't go away! The horror!

  2. thanks!

even thought part of me is glad she's gonna be around to give us truck loads of material, part of me worries she might actually get elected to something of importance.

I just don't get what people see in her.
